Acrylic on canvas (40x39cm). The dual relief (black/white) is faced against a background of orange and black flame. It explores conflict and existential questioning.
The background is a visual representation of "living matter" in its most turbulent state: a vortex of fiery oranges and yellows on a base of dark black. This composition evokes uncontrollable passion and existential crisis, the dark frame of uncertainty on which consciousness is projected.
The line in relief (black and white), which symbolizes the consciousness that unites and separates, emerges robust and symmetrical, creating two humanoid figures that face each other head-on. Unlike other works where there is fusion or fluid dialogue, here the reflected symmetry speaks of a direct confrontation between the Self and its reflection, or between two equally powerful forces. The volume of the stroke, without casting a shadow, ensures that this consciousness is a tactile and present entity, without the ambiguities of an illusory figure. This work emphasizes the deconstruction of perception, questioning the separation between the visible and the intuitive.
