In this 20x11x6 cm work, Fort Barberà delves into the dialectic of otherness through astonishing formal economy. The piece stands on a fragment of bark that acts as a telluric foundation, upon which two silhouettes are projected that are, in essence, two states of being: the tactile and rough density of black versus the technical and aseptic lightness of white. The success lies in the intersection of their perimeters; the figures not only coexist but inhabit each other, suggesting that identity is not an isolated atom but a process of constant interconnection. The black line, porous like organic matter, lends an existential gravity that is balanced by the light of the white line, creating an "empty space" that vibrates with meaning. It is a static choreography where the artist's musical rhythm is translated into wire curves that defy the rigidity of the material. A work that distills a refined humanism, where the fragility of the line bears the weight of a profound reflection on the contemporary human condition.
